Le Cucq.

Follow the D940 from Berck towards Etaples. In the small village Cucq there is a road to the beach 'Stella-Plage'. Take the third street to the left, the 'Avenue Menton'.
The battery had four 15,5cm re-used French guns, of which two were placed in a 669 and the others stood still in a light open emplacement. The emplacements looks still nice. You can see the carriage of the gun and some rooms that were attached to the emplacement. The 669's are not very interesting, but this location is a nice example of the so called 'Schartenbau'. With this plan the Germans wanted to re-place all the guns from open positions into bunkers. On this location the works were not finished.
